Writers in the Cloud

Writers in the Cloud is a collaboration project with the department Language Science of Radboud University, exploring the capabilities of algorithms to write literature like famous writers from the past.

Researchers of Radboud University have developed an algorithm that can learn the writing style of a human being. It can write entire texts or further develop texts in your name, based on the data it knows of you. Writers in the Cloud lets the audience collaborate with the public, in an effort to make writers that have passed away, write new texts.

The first writer that has been brought back from the dead, is Louis Couperus. The installation has been on view at Radboud University since October 2017.
